The Hindu system names seven major chakras.
They are spinning vortexes of energy, each of the seven vibrating at different rates and each associated to different colours, sounds, emotions and organs.
A healthy body and mind shows a perfectly balanced energy flow through the chakras
as is the energetic connection between them.
Any imbalance in the mind or body shows in the chakras as they contain an imprint of every emotionally or physically significant event you have been through.
Energy blocks from one chakra to another can manifest themselves in internal conflicts, such as the war between the head and the heart.

The Aura is the electromagnetic field that surrounds the human body. It is made
up of several different overlapping and interacting layers which correspond to different
aspects
of our being:-
The physical body, the ethereal body, the astral or emotional
body, the mental body and the spiritual body.
I can inform clients in more depth as to what these are and do.
Some people can see
auras quite naturally whilst others can spend years working to catch a glimpse of
colour, but we are all capable of developing this perception.
You may be aware of
your own or others’ energy fields to some extent: when you feel uncomfortable with
someone standing too close to you or pick up “vibes” - good or bad - from someone.
You are sensing their aura!
Others lucky enough to see the aura, will be aware of
a glow around a person, or patches of colour over different areas of the body.

The word chakra originates from Sanskrit, and ancient Indian language and means
“wheel” or “vortex”.
As well as the aura and the chakras, energy in the body also flows through the meridians
(energy channels) identified in traditional Chinese Medicine.
There are twelve main meridians in the body, six yin and six yang and each relates to one of the organs. Just as the circulatory system helps blood flow to energise and nourish the body, so does ki energy flow through these meridians.
If a blockage develops, the ki cannot pass and illness and disease can develop
in
the area being starved of energy.
Reiki flows through these meridians, increasing the energy flow and gently clears the blockages.
